What is Seismic MCP?

The Seismic MCP server gives AI agents access to your Seismic sales-enablement content. That means agents can search content (including AI-generated answers), browse and manage files and folders, create and share Digital Sales Rooms, send content with LiveSend and custom delivery, track engagement and reporting, and look up users, groups, and CRM context. It works across your Seismic teamsites, so an AI agent can find, assemble, share, and measure your content.

If you spend time hunting for the right deck, building buyer microsites by hand, or pulling content engagement into a report, an AI agent can take over a lot of that work. Describe what you need, and your AI agent will find and assemble the content for you.

MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. It’s an open standard that gives AI agents a way to connect to external tools and services. Instead of registering an OAuth app, configuring API scopes, and writing code against the Seismic API, you connect your Seismic account once. After that, you work with your content just by asking your AI agent in plain language.

What you can do with Seismic MCP on Gumloop

  • Search content, including AI answers

Run full-text search across your content with filters and sorting, search items by external ID, and, where your Seismic plan has generative search enabled, use it to get AI-generated answers with source documents from DocCenter, NewsCenter, and Knowledge content.

  • Browse and manage your content library

List folder contents and item versions, get file, folder, and item details, create folders and URLs, copy items to other folders, update file and folder properties, move and delete items, and download file contents.

  • Create and manage Digital Sales Rooms

Create a Digital Sales Room with co-branding, content, and security settings, list existing rooms, get a room’s full details, and read its comments. Assemble a buyer-facing space on demand.

  • Share content with LiveSend and custom delivery

Generate LiveSend links for secure sharing, set up link deliveries with recipient info, check LiveSend settings, and deliver content through custom delivery options and forms.

  • Track engagement and run reports

List engagements and pull reporting data across AI activities, content activities, posts, and meetings, so an agent can show which content is actually moving deals.

  • Look up users, groups, and CRM context

Get users and their details, list groups and group members, and pull CRM contexts owned by a user, useful for routing content and tying it to live deals.

  • Access your profiles, favorites, and recents

Pull the current user’s content profiles, favorites, recent items, and assigned teamsites, so an agent can work from what you use most.

How to connect the Gumloop Seismic MCP Server

  1. Create a Gumloop account

Sign up at gumloop.com. Every new account starts with a 14-day free trial.

  2. Add the Seismic MCP server

Copy your MCP server URL from Gumloop and add it to your preferred client (Claude, Cursor, or Gumloop workflows). You'll authorize on first use.

  3. Start using Seismic in your AI workflows

That's it. Your AI agent can now search content, build Digital Sales Rooms, share via LiveSend, and track engagement across your teamsites. Use it inside a Gumloop automation, in Claude Desktop, or in Cursor.

Seismic MCP use cases

  • AI content discovery for sellers

A seller can ask an AI agent for the right collateral for a deal, and the agent uses Seismic’s generative search (where the plan includes it) to surface the best documents with their sources, then shares them. Reps can find what they need in seconds instead of digging through folders manually.

  • Automated Digital Sales Rooms

When a deal reaches a stage, an AI agent can assemble a co-branded Digital Sales Room with the relevant content, generate a LiveSend link, and deliver it to the buyer. Personalized buyer spaces without the manual setup.

  • Content engagement reporting for enablement

Pull engagements and reporting data, then have an AI agent summarize which assets get opened, shared, and tied to progressing deals. Enablement learns what content works without exporting spreadsheets.

  • Content library hygiene

An agent can organize your teamsite by creating folders, copying and moving items, updating properties, and cleaning up outdated files, keeping the library tidy and findable.

  • Cross-platform selling workflows

Combine Seismic with Salesforce, Slack, and other MCP tools in a single AI agent: pull a deal’s CRM context, assemble the right content into a Digital Sales Room, and notify the account team in Slack, all without manual handoffs.

Why use Gumloop for Seismic MCP

  • No OAuth app, no API setup

Building your own Seismic MCP server means registering an OAuth app, configuring API scopes, and writing code against the Seismic API. Instead, Gumloop handles all of that for you: Click Connect, authorize your Seismic account, and stay connected.

  • Works with multiple MCP clients

Use the Seismic MCP server endpoint in Claude Desktop, Cursor, or directly inside Gumloop. Same server URL, works with any MCP client.

  • Chain Seismic with 100+ other integrations

Combine Seismic with Salesforce, Slack, Google Drive, and other MCP tools in a single AI agent. Pull a deal’s context, assemble content, and share or report on it automatically.

  • Enterprise-grade and scalable

Built for teams, with role-based permissions and dedicated support for Pro users. The Seismic MCP respects your existing Seismic permissions, so an agent only reaches what your account can.

  • Start with a free trial

You can test the Seismic MCP integration during Gumloop’s 14-day free trial before committing. Paid plans start at $37/month.
